GREEN FOOTPRINTS IN VISALIA CREATE QUITE A BUZZ
APR 2010
An Impression Has Been Made
Earlier this year, the City of Visalia tasked MMC with re-branding their public transportation; so in February we launched a teaser campaign that we knew would grab some attention. Little did we know that the attention we would garner would be so widespread. Among other marketing tactics, this grass-roots style tease campaign included green footprints that were painted on sidewalks around the city, leading curious residents to a website built specifically for this campaign. Although the public didn’t know WHAT we were going to unveil, they knew that during the Visalia Earth Day event on April 17th, the Transit Division was going to make an impression. Nearly 400 volunteers attended the event, the largest event to date, where we unveiled the fact that their typical daily rotation is now a completely alternative fuel fleet. During the choreographed presentation, 6 new busses rolled up showcasing the new look as the crowd went wild – as well as the media.
This is just the first of many impressions the Visalia Transit will make. That’s right, we have more up our sleeves – but again, we’re not able to say anything until June. Stay tuned for more!

STRIKING GOLD IN THE VALLEY
APR 2010
MMC Competes With National Accounts and Wins Gold
After submitting 15 entries to the Fresno Ad Fed this past March, Multi Marketing Corp was presented with 12 ADDY awards, of which 8 were Gold, allowing those pieces to be forwarded to the Regional competition. The Regional Competition is broken out into districts; with the Fresno Ad Fed falling into District 14 which includes San Francisco, San Jose and all of Silicon Valley, as well as Sacramento and Northern Nevada. This district is particularly tough as the advertising agencies competing represent large-budget, highly acclaimed accounts such as Nike, Yahoo, Toyota and Intel. However, this past week, it was announced that Multi Marketing Corp was awarded 3 regional ADDY awards, of which, 2 were gold. Multi Marketing Corp was the only advertising agency within the Central Valley to win such highly ranked awards at the regional level. Each of the gold award-winning projects have been automatically forwarded to the American Advertising Federation national level competition.

MMC RECEIVES 12 HONORS AT THE 2010 ADDY AWARDS
MAR 2010
MMC Produces Award-Winning Work... and Has the Hardware to Prove it
Each year advertising agencies from around the world enter their creative masterpieces into what is dubbed by the American Advertising Federation as the world’s largest and arguably toughest advertising competition. The goal for each entry is simple – bring home the ADDY Award. The challenging part is the high level of competition. However, with 15 entries, MMC was awarded a grand total of 12 ADDY awards including 8 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze award. So what’s next? Disneyland, of course! Actually, we’re already hard at work producing award-winning creative for those who appreciate it the most – our clients.

MMC GIVEN TASK OF RE-BRANDING THE CITY OF VISALIA'S PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
FEB 2010
Making an Impression
Although public transportation is a necessity in larger cities, there is a certain stigma associated to riding the bus in the Valley; which is why the City of Visalia’s Transit Division has charged MMC with re-branding and re-positioning the Visalia City Coach. Although the new brand won’t be unveiled until Earth Day 2010; we are brimming with excitement for this new campaign and all that it has to offer. Although we can’t say much, we will warn Visalians to be on the lookout for a green footprint– Visalia Transit is about to make an impression!
CONNECTING2FAMILIES TAPS MMC FOR CENTRAL VALLEY BETA TEST
SEP 2009
The Central Valley Grows More Than Great Agriculture
Two locally-based business owners had one simple vision–to connect faith based families. After months of brainstorming, that vision lead to a much bigger idea... connecting all families with common interests plus serving as a resource to connect families with similar life circumstances. These meaningful connections will serve as foundations for lifelong friendships and life changing support groups. After revamping the original Connecting2Families website and conducting several focus groups, Connecting2Families has evolved into a tremendous opportunity; not only for these two business owners, but for the users that take advantage of this free service. Although the website is accessible worldwide, the two beta markets for brand advertising are Fresno and Sacramento. MMC launched a social networking campaign in September with traditional advertising mediums launching in October.

SEQUOIA SHUTTLE REPORTS INCREASED RIDERSHIP FOR ITS 2009 SEASON
SEP 2009
MMC Uses Down Economy to Highlight Value
With gas prices remaining high, and extravagant family vacations at an all time low, the Sequoia Shuttle was a great alternative for many people this year. For $15, shuttle riders were able to get round trip service, the park entry fee, and unlimited in-park travel; making the Sequoia Shuttle a great “staycation” opportunity. Following a price point campaign launched by MMC that included print, transit, web and television advertising, the 2009 season ended with an increase in ridership over previous years. This 3-year beta project, a partnership between the Visalia Transit Department and the National Parks Service created to decrease air pollution and traffic congestion in the Sequoia National Park, proved to be a great success and plans for the 2010 season are currently underway.

LOCAL FITNESS CAMPAIGN GOES NATIONAL
JUL 2009
No Gimmicks Here
In January 2008, MMC created and launched the “We are Not a Gimmick” campaign for the Fitness Together Central California Franchise. Despite a faltering economy and odds stacked against higher-end businesses, Fitness Together Central California began experiencing great success. Shortly after launching the campaign, a steady stream of leads was generated week after week. Not long thereafter, the Fitness Together Corporate Headquarters took notice of the success the campaign was having. Soon a partnership was forged and the “We Are Not a Gimmick” campaign was distributed nationally to all 425 Fitness Together locations across the U.S. beginning 3rd quarter of 2009. “I think what made this campaign successful is the fact that we decided early on to oppose the whole ‘discount fitness’ approach that is proliferated every year by the big box gyms. Instead, we created a serious, straight-forward message that ultimately resonated with their core demographic.” – Aaron Coyne, Creative Director, Multi Marketing Corp.

MMC VOLUNTEERS ON MARKETING BOARD OF THE UNITED WAY OF FRESNO COUNTY
JUN 2009
MMC Doesn’t Just Wear the “Live United” Shirt
The national United Way campaign “Live United” can take on many meanings; however at MMC we believe that uniting with a good cause is a fulfilling way to live life. True, we are a small company where each person wears many hats making free time as scarce as a sub 100 degree day in the Fresno Summer. So, perhaps we’re just softies, but we do have a warm place in our hearts for volunteering our time and talent to help our community. When approached to help the United Way of Fresno County we had one major question... what does the United Way actually do? We soon found out that many people are familiar with the name, but are unable to recite the cause. Call this “Task 1”. Along with educating the community about all of the noteworthy programs the United Way is responsible for offering, MMC and the United Way marketing committee will customize the national Live United campaign for our local community and help build solid fund raising resource tools.
MMC NOMINATES DARDEN ARCHITECTS FOR A NATIONAL AWARD
OCT 2008
Local Design Receives National Attention
It is unlikely there is another single facility in the Central Valley that has the ability to make more of an impact on students and the community than the Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall. The Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall, designed by Darden Architects, located at the Clovis North Education Center, was designed as part of Clovis Unified School District's vision to provide outstanding facilities for music, drama and musical theater.
Darden Architects' state-of-the-art design has not gone unnoticed, particularly on a national level. MMC nominated Darden Architects, and in September 2008 The Council of Educational Facilities Planners International (CEFPI) in partnership with School Planning & Management awarded them with the 2008 National Impact on Learning Award. This award focuses on K-12 schools that impact student achievement and the community through design, engineering and non-traditional learning spaces. Along with winning the award, Darden Architects was honored at the 85th annual conference in San Diego, California and the design was featured in the August issue of School Planning & Management trade publication that circulates internationally.
